We have been making active interventions to improve nutrition of our #DeshKiBeti through special focus on dietetics of girls under initiatives like 'Poshan Abhiyan'
Under Anaemia Mukt Bharat Programme, Iron Folic acid tablets are being given to children, adolescents & women.
Initiatives by @MoHFW_INDIA have resulted in reducing Gender Gap in Under Five Mortality Rate children in the Country to 1 in 2018 which was 5 points in 2015.
The U5MR among girls, a strong indicator of gender discrimination, has declined from 45 in 2015 to 36 in 2018.
To holistically support girl child health, a scheme has also been launched to increase awareness on menstrual hygiene among adolescent girls, increase access to high quality sanitary napkins & ensure their safe disposal in an environmentally friendly manner.

Gross Enrolment Ratio of girls in schools at the secondary level has also seen a healthy improvement as per UDISE-data.
