After a divisive election and last week’s horrific attack on the U.S. Capitol, Congress should be entirely focused on uniting the American people & strengthening our country. Impeaching the president with less than a week left in his term will not advance either of these goals.
Today my office showed our appreciation for the dedicated officers of the U.S. Capitol Police. These brave men and women put their lives on the line during the attack on the Capitol last week to keep us safe from harm. We’re grateful for their service every day.
Today, @LGSuzanneCrouch & the @IndianaOCRA launched the second round of Taking Care of Main Street, a grant program which provides funding for operational support and recovery strategies to Indiana Main Street programs. To read the full release➡️
BREAKING: A U.S. Capitol Police officer has died of injuries suffered in Wednesday’s violent siege. The officer, identified as Brian D. Sicknick, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday evening, police said in a press release.
Devastated by the death of USCP Officer Brian Sicknick, a hero who gave his life to save others and defend our Capitol. I am praying for his family in these difficult days.
Those who carried out this attack on our country must be brought to justice.
Every American has the right to exercise their First Amendment rights, but violence and destruction are never the answer.
Stop these attacks on our country now and keep the protests peaceful.
Grateful to the U.S. Capitol Police for protecting everyone in our Capitol.
