Things are very different for so many children right now. Not being in school can be difficult, but look at the amazing things our mini heroes have done since the first lockdown.
Their support has helped us care for seriously ill children when they’ve needed us most. Thank you!
This #WorldReligionDay, we would like to celebrate & thank places of worship and their groups within our community, who have collectively donated enough money to pay for two full weeks of 1:1 nursing care for a child here at Claire House.
We’d like to say a big thank you to Joseph, who back in November decided he was going to read a book a day up until Christmas to raise money for Claire House.
He raised an amazing £300 and his reading came on leaps and bounds.
Here he is explaining what he did and why.
We’d like to say a big congratulations to our friend @WayneRooney on his retirement from an incredible playing career and appointment as Derby County Football Club’s new manager.
The past few months have seen the wonderful children of our staff raising funds for Claire House.
From toy sales to being sponsored for learning to ride a bike.
All of the amazing things they’ve done have helped their mummies and daddies be there for seriously ill children.

A year ago this week, was a pivotal time, Charlie had never been to the beach, so @ClaireHouse brought the beach into @PICU_AHCH
It was brilliant watching Charlie play with the sand and feel it in his fingers, as a toddler would do, he thought it'd taste nice 😊

Elizabeth, age 10, wanted to do something for @ClaireHouse and so decided to run an amazing 8 miles and set a target to raise £250.
She was blown away when her total came to an amazing £2048.48!
What a superstar and true #Clairehousehero.
Thank you Elizabeth @TLCwirral!

Tony raised a wonderful £639 in December 2020, running 22 miles for Claire House.
This year, he’s going even further and is running 2021km throughout 2021!
At 168km a month, we think Tony is a true #ClaireHouseHero. 👏👏👏
You can sponsor him here👉
Over Christmas, we had a technical issue with our website – if you signed up for an event or run, or have contacted our fundraising team, and haven’t had a response, please email our Events Team on events@clairehouse.org.uk or call us on 0151 343 0883. Thank you
It is with great sadness that we hear of Gerry Marsden’s passing.
His support of Claire House over the years has helped us care for seriously ill children and their families.
Our thoughts are with Gerry’s family and friends.
Rest in peace Gerry❤️

You all helped raise a phenomenal grand total of £2,008.48
When it got tough I kept going because I knew you were all behind me. Together we can make a difference 💚💙❤️
Absolutely amazing! What an achievement! 👏🎉 Your fundraising could pay for 100 hours of nursing care - you should be so proud Elizabeth, thank you. ❤️ #clairehousehero

A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me for my @ClaireHouse Coastal Walk, we’ve raised a staggering £671, which is astounding. Also, special thanks to Alex for walking with me throughout and also my Mum and Dad who walked a lot of the way too 🏃♂️
Incredible! Well done! 👏🎉 Your fundraising could pay for more than 33 hours of nursing care at the hospice - that’s amazing! Thank you so much 🌟
As the year draws to a close, we just wanted to say a huge big thank you.
We couldn’t have got through this year without your support. We've been able to carry on caring for local children & for that we can’t thank you enough.
#HappyNewYear from everyone at @ClaireHouse.
You’ve faced unprecedented times and things have been very different, but you helped when we needed you most.
Whatever you have done to support Claire House this year, we want to say thank you.
Thank you for pulling together and supporting local children and their families.
